while the hubs is away
For the first time since moving to San Francisco at the beginning of 2020, I will soon be without my husband while he travels out of the country for business. I've been on two solo trips without him in the past few months, but this will be the first time he is the one leaving me to fend for myself.
As someone who was highly independent before meeting my husband, I've been on my own and done a pretty damn good job of thriving solo, but this new COVID world of constant togetherness has undoubtedly changed things. I've been asking him many questions to prepare for his week away, reminding me how much he does our family (y'all, I'm going to have to make my coffee every morning!). To turn his time away into an opportunity (and to calm my anxiety), I've created a list of activities to keep me occupied and make the most of my solo time.
Move my body (yoga, rides, weights)
Meditate
Read the summer issue of Bella Grace magazine
Complete June review + plan for July
Eat all blue cheese and buffalo-sauce flavored things
Try my hardest to wait for the hubs to return to catch up on Succession or For All Mankind
Try out our new bathtub (finally)
Many walks with Ellie
Go through my shoes + purge a few
Find out who killed Bunney
Countless overnight snuggles with Ellie
Start The Artist's Way + morning pages
Friend phone dates
Finish a few lessons for the three courses in which I'm currently enrolled
